Adult eagle over the western head,
Cormorant zone abandoned, there were many more cormorants still present near the nest area on this date last year.
There were some cormorants still around the island, here a mix of young great and Double-crested, but they had moved away from the nest area, they are generally reluctant to do so and I suspect there was more disturbance by eagles in '016 than there was last year.
